I work for Walmart and they throw signs away all the time.
One of the signs I brought home got cut down to size by DH.
I folded and old towel in half sewed the long sides put the sign inside and made a pretty removeable quilted cover for it and wah lah a strong, sturdy portable ironing board with a removeable washable cover.
I have to be thrifty because working for wally is not a high paying job.
