Took me two days to make this ugliness! Is there anything I can do to save it or should I just take it apart and use the squares in something different like pillows for kids or something like that?

I think you will be amazed at how much the quilting will improve it. Think about some varigated thread color to bring the color from one area to the next. It will be a great wall hanging (or quilt), honestly!
