If you cut a 3/4" triangle off each raw corner, it will not fray. use dye grabbers. even then, I would wash the darker colors in separate load. if doing more than a yd of any fabric; fold to 18" widths, pin several places through all layers. takes longer to dry but really saves a lot of "tangle time" cleanup.
