One of my daughters has one of these her great-grandma made, she called it a "biscuit" quilt and it took her 8 months to make handsewing the puffs.

This one is entirely machine sewn from a blog tutorial I found, in only 2 days (plus an hr to finish turning the back for cheater binding). It's for a new mama-to-be on my dart team (who found out she was pregnant when she was almost 20 wks!) and it's a boy. I had to make a little t@ggie to match.

I will say it was a heavy beast to muscle through the machine, good thing it's baby size. I machine tacked each of the puff intersections and did a little ditch stitching on the borders & corners. Off to the washer, one of my cats LOVED laying on it when my back was turned, lol.
