Cutting multiple folds makes it shift in the middle sometimes so that you get the curve in the middle. If I'm going to be using the strips for peicing what I do is the old start the cut then pull the two piece apart from selvedge to selvedge. When I'm cutting shorter strips I sometimes just cut the folds after ironing the creases in. That way it doesn't shift as badly.
