okay well I have to first give an aside so you can understand what is going on. I have been working on a doll quilt for my neice who lives in CA for christmas. just finished it during nap time. well dd (2 1/2) got up from nap and saw it. She had a melt down when she found out it was for her cuz. so I grabed her doll quilt that I am hand binding the back on and made her choose which one to give to her cuz for chirstmas. well she chose the new one and said to send the one in the fabric that she picked out to her cuz. will post the pics in a min. Now I have to make her a new quilt for her new bed. It will be a full size one. she is currently sleeping on a futon till little bro can be moved to her old twin. And she said that she wanted to have a quilt just like Joys quilt that I made. (its the one that was supposed to be for her cuz)
Now this quilt was made from 5" squares using the 10 min block method. now I got them squared up at about 8 3/4" size. how many of these blocks would I need to have to make up an over sized full quilt? and should I just get a few charm packs and use those or try to cut out my own 5" squares? what do you guys think?
