We are almost finished with our nieces and nephews 2009 Christmas gifts. Lauren is staying with us for a few months, so while she was at her mom's for Thanksgiving, we finished hers and put it on the bed.

This is the first bed-sized quilt that we have quilted. It's also the first time we've quilted using anything other than a meandering stitch. It's the first time we've used the D9P pattern. And, it's the first time we've done a triple border.

When she went in the room we told her we put all her mail on the bed while she was gone. She went in and looked, and said, "I don't see any mail, where is it?" She might be a bit blonde, but we love her. After a few seconds she realized her quilt was finished and on the bed. She really likes it!

Now we just have to finish her brother's and we'll be in good shape.
