I joined the Quilting Board several months ago and enjoy having my first cup of coffee in the morning with all of you. You've inspired me to try some new quilting techniques and projects. A project I'm working on this week is a "Year's Worth of Mug Rugs". A dear friend of mine is also a quilter but has not heard of this forum and I don't think has heard of 'mug rugs' so I decided to make her a set of 12 for Christmas...one for each month of the year! I'm having so much fun coming up with ideas for them....Valentine's Day, April Showers, May flowers, 4th of July, August -- her bithday month, Fall, Christmas....what fun!

I'm retired, spend winter months in Sarasota, FL and the rest of the year in Upstate New York. I've been married 39 years to the same funny, loving man and have 8 Grandchildren, ranging from 8 month old triplets to a 15 year old Grandson. Life is good!
