I was still volunteering at our local hospital when one day a guy wondered in, dressed in PJ pants and covered with blood, looked around and managed to announce that he thought that he'd just killed his best friend.
Turned out they had been playing Russian Roulette, except they'd been drinking and didn't have a good grasp of the rules. They had played with 5 bullets and ONE empty space.....

Volunteering was interesting, never knew what each day would bring. That's why I stayed over 28 years...lots of memories, lots more the hospital still doesn't want spread around. Most folks can't grasp the fact that volunteers blanket the hospital and know darn well pretty much what is going on all through the whole place.
