I have been in health care since 1980 in one role or another. I have been aide to Director of nursing.I am currently a critical care nurse with burn out issues as well. Every once in a while I come across a patient that makes my day but they are becomming fewer and farer between. Guess I need to look harder cause no retirment in site. Hiding out on the night shift cause I can't deal with all the BS and drama the "young-uns" throw out there.( no offence to any young nurses out there, it's just that some of them...whew they kill me, esp this time of year with all the you mean I have to work christmas? I'm like yes baby girl you chose health care....)
