Thank you. I continue to have warm feelings when I look at my Sweet Sister Quilt.
Private information about Joan:
She has always had a green thumb.
Honestly, if she touches a plant it will live and thrive.
Daddy planted the tiny, tiny wild red roses on the hill by the old home place. They were so thick and full. We always loved them and called them Daddy's roses. (He didn't landscape or do plants at all! Just these roses.)
Years after he passed Joan was home for a visit and saw wild roses growing on a ditch bank. Brrrake! Out of the car picking sprigs from the wild roses. She planted them and they thrived! She took a twig from Mother's yellow rose bush. Summer. Wrapped it and planted it when she got back to Texas. It has been giving her beautiful roses for years.
She is a neat person!
