To those of you who have thought about embellishing your artwork (aka quilts) with beads, I implore you.....THINK AGAIN! I am currently working on a pp margarita glass and am sewing seed beads on the rim by hand with a beading needle (the really long kind with the tiniest eye) and invisible thread. This is going to turn out gorgeous, I have no doubt, and I'm also sure I'll be needing a few of these margaritas by the time I'm finished with it! I said the same thing once I finally finished sewing the block, after all the unsewing I had to do, LOL!

Just saying, beading is a pain in the rear end, crosses your eyes and some of them will most likely end up in the vacuum cleaner!

But wait, there's more! I am also making a Christmas Tree for the center of this quilt, and just guess what's going to be the lights for the tree? That's right......BEADS!!! But at least these are larger (4mm) and easier to work with. Still using the aforementioned needle and invisible thread, but the beads will be farther apart so the work will go faster anyway.

then there's the applique....have I mentioned I HATE applique?

I keep repeating my mantra "I love my mom....I love my mom". This quilt will be for her, and it will be filled with love...Every Single Stitch!!!
