These are unbelievably good.

Mt. Dew Apple Dumplings

2 granny smith apples
2 cans 8 ct. crescent rolls
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
cinnamon to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Peel and slice apples into 8 wedges each. Unroll crescent rolls and roll up an apple in each one. Place in 9 x 13 pan. In a sauce pan mix butter, sugars, vanilla and cinnamon. Don't boil, but just let the butter and sugars melt. ( you don't want the sugars to crystallize) Pour mixture over the apples and then pour a can of Mt. Dew over all. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes and then uncover and bake another 10 to 12 mins.
