When I put up my 7foot artificial tree I leave off 2 or 3 limbs in back on the bottom 2 rows. That lets it sit closer to the wall. I put 10 or 12 strings of lights on the tree then turn loose the grandkids with the ornaments. They have fun and I get to set back and enjoy them. It was more fun a few years ago when they were all small.
