I would be hesitant to stuff the cavity but besides that it would work. Have you also considered those plug in skillets with a lid like Rival. In the summer I put that out side and put to fryers in it for about 2 hours. Yummmm! Keeps my whole house from getting hot because I am not running the ovens. Those together are my mainstay when camping with 13.
