I took my shih tzu dog to the groomer today for his hair cut, nails trim and bath. Felix is 7 1/2 years old.

When I went to pick him up the owner of the place told me that the groomer said his right ear was red and infected.

I brought him home and called the vet. I took him to vet and he has ear mites, never had a sick dog before. So now I am putting 8 drops of medicine in his year twice a day for the next week.

Have you ever had a dog with ear mites? I am reading up on them online. He is an inside dog. We don't have cats, but some stray cats in the back yard. Also some wild rabbits in the back yard.

I have never had a sick dog.
