I didn't catch the show you were referring to but I quilt tops for the American Heros that get sent to Afghanstan for those wounded soldiers that are sent to germany on transport planes and the quilts help keep the wounded military personnel warm during transport. The soldiers get to keep their quilts and many of them bring them home with them when the finally get to come home. On the American Hero website there are so many letters and stories from the individual soldiers and their families that receive these quilts - it is very touching. Check it out if you want a doze of reality. I have done 84 quilts for them so far this year alone.
