This was probably answered before but I cannot find it on "search". I'm racing to get out some Christmas gifts and usually quilt my own but I'm taking these quilts to a professional. After cutting out the borders I remembered that quilts that are going to be quilted with a longarm machine need extra fabric around the border to be trimmed off later. Can I just cut the batting and backing larger? If not, can I add scrap fabric all around to the front to make it larger? Thank you for your response.
