This was a large 86x103" hexagon quilt - hand-pieced, vintage. The customer wanted a custom look at a panto price. This belonged to her husband's deceased mother. She doesn't quilt, but wanted it finished so they could use it, and of course didn't want to spend a lot because she was also paying for backing fabric, batting, and binding. So, I quilted three rows with a running heart and then the next row a set of curvy waves that followed the block edge. Did a large feather wreath in the middle and the corners got large meander feathers. It turned out well and I think the customer will like it.
