Most of them we will sell in a yard sale and just start her from scratch after she graduates.[/quote]

Suggestion from long experience. Start her a Hope Chest, and add to it good furniture. Old, well made stuff is way better than lots of the expensive crap made today with pressed sawdust. It will clean up easier and last a heck of a lot longer, most of her life if kept up. And don't forget Hope Chests for boys.
We found this to to be true right after I married DH, his son was going into college and the entire family suddenly started rummaging through attics and basements and closets for stuff for his first apartment. I think he still has some of the better stuff even after 40 years.
My DH told me that when he first went to UC Davis, he and his room mate prowled the streets right before the garbage trucks, and stuffed his station wagon full of furniture and other goodies. DH had lovely taste and pictures of their rooms looked very nice. Now they have FreeCycle and Craig's List.
