Today I was informed by Emi that I am a grand mother. He is the father of a Zhu Zhu pet. I will post a pic if you don't know what that is; I didn't know what it was either. He said that every grand mother has to make a quilt for their grand kids if they know how to quilt. Yes, he thought about this all by himself. So, I started to prepare a simple one, like a whole cloth. He stops me and said that what he had in mind was more like and I quote: "little squares put together and quilted" Is this my child or what?
So, I have to change my plan and spend the next two hours working on this. I have to admit, I didn't press once until after the borders were added and was surprised how well my corners matched. When I announced it was done, he turned it over and asked that I write Chuckles name behind it, and today's date. I am so proud of him.
It measures 8 x 10 inches and is already well loved.
