This is a beautiful and special quilt.
The best way to hang a quilt is with a hanging sleeve. This will be the least impactful to the fibers in the fabric as it supports the weight evenly across the width of the quilt.

And dont leave your quilt hanging for years on end,...take it down to rest every month or so.
