Anyway, standing at the store there, my hubby was asking me which color boxes should we get..I looked at him and surprised myself saying that we weren't going to buy any boxes and that I was going to make them :!: and on that note we leave the store without any boxes.

I remembered seeing this tutorial for fabric boxes here http://cadouri-din-inima.blogspot.co...ric-boxes.html and thought I'll follow that to make the boxes..only they had to be 11'' boxes! As soon as I cut and fused the first one, I realized how hard it was going to be to maneuver these stiff squares and put them together to form a box...but I am not one to give up. So ,somehow, I managed to get all three boxes done with minor shoulder pain and wrist ache. I also had some extra fused strips that I put together to make a little frame to go on top of the shelves.

I think the boxes turned out OK and I sure wouldn't have been able to find them in these colors, but I think I rather be quilting.
What a great idea.
I got those computer accessories (plenty of wires) all in white rather than black. Talking about ugly. My shelf looks messy and ugly at the same time. As soon as I have a few hours I will follow your lead and get rid of this ugly mess of tangled white wires. Plastic boxes are not too pretty...

Thanks for the link!
