This is a table topper that was made from remnants from a previous project. I had 4 diamonds in Christmas print fabric and did not know what to do with them. It was only when Secret Santa was suggested at work that I thought I could make something nice from these remnants for my colleague.

It took me about 8 hours or thereabouts to complete this topper including the machine quilting which I did for the very first time. I enjoyed the machine quilting so much that I am going to try and do more machine quilting in the future. Only thing is I wonder how you manage big quilts as I found managing this topper a little tricky and it is only 19" x 19"? Ummmm.... :?:

I did not plan the pattern because I had absolutely no idea as to what I was going to do with the remnants. In fact I thought it was going to be a disaster! But lo and behold, it turned out better than I expected and now I don't think I could part with it. :?

My better half has suggested that we keep it for ourselves and buy my colleague something in its place! LOL He reckons she would not really appreciate the effort that has gone into this project.

Well, here goes. Hope you like it and I welcome your comments; good or bad as I am here to learn from you. Thank you for taking the time!!
