It totally SUCKS that you were not treated well in the LQS. When I ran my friend's quilt shop, there were 3 men that came in on occasion - all quilters. One would bring in projects for me to see! They were treated equally and treated like ALL customers should be treated - with respect!
I hope you can find a shop that is not so judgmental.
Some shops treat many of their customers (women as well as men) like they're "bothering" them - these shops won't last long in my opinion. Sorry - I kind of vented - but this angers me!!!
