Can you use the counted cross stitch fabric on a quilt?
I have quite a few Santa's that I cross stitched and was
thinking of using them for a quilt. The LQS told me the fabric would not work. Has anyone ever tried it?
I've never tried it before, but I'll bet it could be done. Perhaps use the cross stitch as a center part of the quilt and frame it, perhaps useing muslin or a nice piece of cotton for the backing of the cross stitch piece and make whatever blocks areound it. I don't think I would wash it though, might cause the cross stitch to draw up.
I'll bet someone on this board knows that answer or has tried it before. So many smart folks on this board with great ideas and knowledge.
