I started sewing my first bow tuck bag together. So far so good until I was going to do a little bit of quilting on the body of it. I didn't get far with that because my machine didn't want to sew through 2 thicknesses of the pellon fleece. I am wondering if I got a thicker fleece than the pattern calls for. When I bought my fleece they didn't have the # that the pattern calls for. I don't remember what the # is of what I got.
I even tried using both my machines and neither one wants to sew through all that thickness. I lengthened the stitch length. I was just going to do some straight line quilting..no FMQ.
Well, anyway now I am thinking I may take the fleece off the lining part and just use a medium weight fusible pellon instead of the fleece.
Do you think that would work okay? I am open to any suggestions.
