My oldest daughter is a log cabin fan. Her house burned to the ground last March. I'd like to get her a log cabin book for Christmas. Is Nancy Martin's Log Cabin Quilt Book my best choice? My only experience with a log cabin is a hand sewn quilt as you go that I never finished, so I'm not overly familar with the pattern. I do like the ones set diagonally. Here's a sample of her work.
