I don't know how many of you have ever seen a quilt show get set-up, but from experience, I can tell you it is an amazing event in itself. :D
I was the chair of my guild's very first show. (That's the kind of thing that happens when one of your closest friends is president of the guild!) I'm not sure I had even been to a quilt show as a visitor at that time. In fact, there were on a few of our members that were experienced members of other guilds. We rented poles from another local guild, and they came with 3-lb coffee cans filled with cement for stands. Somehow, we managed to get them all set up & the quilts all pinned up! I think it's still one of my favorite times at a guild show - to be there when hardly anyone else is there, just me & all those works of ART. <insert smilie with a blissful look> I heard from one of the vendors we had at that first show, that they never thought we would get things sorted out & the quilts hung! And that in the end, the were quite happy they were there. :D
I hope you have a grand time at your show! Too bad I'm so far away.
