Our guild is having a challenge for 2011 at Powell Garden (botanical park) in KC, MO. The challenge is a red fabric, at least 45" and has to have a bug or critter. Since I like a challenge best, I made this wallhanging up this weekend. I started with a drawing and then painted a picture like I would want it to look. Then took the drawing up to a larger scale. I outlined the prominent features with crochet cotton to make them stand out.
