It is a 3d rail fence (i got the pattern at: www.thequiltedsnail.com/patterns/3D-Quilt.html
the batting is 80/20 and recommended quilting distance 2"-4" apart. So, I guess I will have to quilt through the 6 inch blocks. Thank you everyone for your replies.
