You are so right! It gets crazy this time of year and the stress we feel is usually self-imposed. Let's not do that to ourselves!
One phenomenon I've discovered this year is the "ornament exchange". Much less stress than a gift exchange, and everyone loves ornaments, esp. handmade ones. They don't take much time or money. Great for office parties, or friends or whoever you gather with at Christmas.
