Here's a picture of a quilt my late Mother made from polyester fabric. She made a scrappy quilt with polyester squares of all colors and backed the quilt with flannel fabric. She didn't use any batting as the quilt is heavy enough without it.

She hand quilted it by quilting around each square and use polyester to bind the quilt. It is really warm, too.

She used any type fabric she had to make quilts. Almost all her quilts were made from cotton or polyester fabric scraps.
