Wow, I didn't realize I was with the majority. While still working full time, I was always so stressed to get everything done. Gifts for co-workers, neighbors, relatives etc. and cards out. Well, I am retired now and I like things to be serene. The first thing to go was the cards (and like someone else said, I even still have friends) and then 7 plastic tubs of decoration. I'm down to 3 and will be down to 1 come January. I bake if someone asks (meaning if they have time). I love my Christmas music and pointsettias. Gifts have been scaled down a lot, mostly gift certificates to places they like to shop (I don't shop much after orthopedic surgeries) or restaurants. The world didn't stop turning and I am so much more at peace with the season.

I also admire the people that can and do it all. I was there once, but time marches on.............

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to all of my new forum friends. I'm looking forward to spending a lot of time with all of you in 2011!
