I'm relatively new on these boards. I have commented a few times but I never made a formal introduction. My name is Cindy and I live in WA state.

I started quilting about 10 years ago. My husband really pushed me to get a hobby and since then, I've developed a few.

I think that I've likely made about 30 quilts. The vast majority have been given away. I have rented long arm time before and quilted two of them but I tend to prefer using my home machine.

I enjoy reading sewing blogs--and that's how surfed in to these boards. I've been so impressed with the kindness and respect here. The picture section has me incredibly motivated.

I'm attaching a few of the quilts I've completed this last year. The first two are Judy Martin designs. The first is "Aegean Sea" from her "Stellar Quilts " book. I omitted an Ohio star from the center of every block. I have a sun inspired quilting design I want to try once I am more familiar with my new machine. This was my first scrap quilt.
The second is "Monet's Wedding Rings" from Judy's "Scraps" book. One of my favorite places in the world to visit is the Cleveland Museum of Art. They have one of Monet's many "Waterlillies" canvases and I used the colors from it for the quilt.
The third is just a standard Burgoyne Surrounded. I always loved the simplicity of the design and finally made one.

I wish I could get better pictures but we've become short on space. My other hobby is playing piano and that takes up a lot of room. Thanks for reading. I'm excited to be here!!
