one year my husband and 2 boys went together and bought me a wonderful quilt book, they picked out the quilt they thought I would like, and then they picked out all the material and notions I would need to make it. That included the cutting mat, rotary cutter, and new ruler. The only thing they didn't know to do was buy a little extra fabric in case of mistakes. But I was super thrilled. They picked out a great book, and the colors they picked out were fantastic.
