Nancy the New Home Sewing Machine Company started out in 1879 so you might want to look at the plate one more time and be sure of the number. I have the companies production records and I can date it for you but I need a good number to work off of.

Billy, this is the SS # NHR 114370. I did find out that New Home started using a number in front of the serial number in 1930. I think Janome bought New Home out in the 60's? That means my machine has to be sometime in between!
I haven't had time to take pictures -- busy all day with horses and Christmas decorations!
