Has anyone completed theirs this way? Did you have the same success?
I did that on an octagon table topper several years ago and it turned out perfect as well. I did not stitch it down but I noticed it is starting to lift a bit so I'm going to go back and run a decorative stitch over it. Here's a picture of the toppers, worked great on all the corners.
