This was in a letter that they just sent me this week:
"As you may be aware the cost of cotton has risen steadily over the past 12 months resulting in our having to increase our prices for 2011."
The price for one of their new lines that I really like, and which is not being released until spring, is 55 cents higher than a similar current line.
And they had already raised their prices for current lines in 2010.
Coupled with the cost of shipping to get from their warehouse on the west coast to our shop here in NY, I will be looking to see if I can find less expensive collections. And I REALLY liked their fabrics! :-( We never have any quality-control issues with their goods.
