We aren't able to spend lots on the luxuries, but I do have a brother embroidery/sewing machine that was inexpensive, and another machine by singer that is inexenpensive and does heavy duty sewing.
To make a longer story a shorter one, my DH knows how worried and tearful I have gotten lately as my brothers chemo continues. (BLADDER AND PROSTATE CANCER...He had major surgery June 28th) Lots of bad things happening to him because of it, so he went sneaking off to his laptop and downloaded sewing machines and found me another inexpensive machine...a Brother serger, plus 2 accessories for the embroider sewer by Brother SE350, including a larger hoop. He even let me get a knitting book to learn how to knit socks from the toes up...also inexpensive. I don't have the best of machines, but I cherish each one, and especially my wonderful husband who does all he can to make my life better. Reckon that is what it is all about in the long run. I can hardly wait for all of it to arrive. YEA YEA YEA...now for the other half of my brothers chemo to get done with and him to have more time on earth. Can't get better than that. Forgive my ranting on but I just had to share. I am a 70 year old great grandmother of 13...6 girls and 7 boys. The youngest boy born Nov. 18th of this year and the oldest to be 6 the 15th of this month. I am so blessed.
