When my SIL was stationed in Hawaii, DD, being asthmatic, agreed with the locals and allowed Geckos to run free in her house. The sprays and poisons for bugs made her very ill, so she
accepted the stray Geckos falling in the salad when she had company!!!
We were in Hawaii for 6 years and learned to just leave them alone. I did break a few dishes when we first moved there until I was use to them being just about everywhere! lol
Geckos are good luck and our friends....that's what my local friends told me anyway :)
