Do some practice pieces before you start on your quilt. Trust me, you'll smile more later if you do. Do a little four patch wall hanging or a pot holder using scraps. It takes just a little getting used to but once you have the hang of it you're going to love it. Also, if you check out the 'storm at sea' pattern on the internet you'll find your diamonds already designed for your paper piecing.
Have lots of fun now. That's what it's all about! (I tell you this because I remember my first paper piecing project! :mrgreen: )
