The way to remember to drink water is every time you go pee, drink a glad of water to replace what you just got rid of. My hubbies 100 year old grandma told me this. But back to the split nails, I started taking vitamins for 50+ and Vitamin C and D, and my nails are back to being healthy again and I am feeling better. Mine were thin and splitting in layers also.
