Qbee, For now, you have to allow yourself to grieve and if that means no handmade gifts then so be it. If you must, as others have said send out quilt promises but your family will understand if you don't. Please don't bottle up your feelings and try and go on as normal because right now that isn't normal - you've lost your parents - normal is to mourn that loss.
