The quilt guild that I am involved in (though I work so can't make any workshops or anything extra, and I volunteer for MOPS so this was the first meeting I've made since July) has a "Give Away" to various local charities twice a year. One in December and one in June.
I usually contribute a couple of quilts each time. Though since this was the first meeting that I was able to attend this fall, I did not get any turned in.
Anyway, we gave away over 300 quilts to about 10 different "Charities" There were also many, many baby bib, burp cloths and crocheted and knitted (tiny) baby hats and pillowcases.
I am go glad to be a part of such a giving and caring guild. It was wonderful to see all the quilts that were going out the door. They have a "Parade of quilts" throughout the room so we could all see them.
I makes me really want to whip up some more quilts to donate for the June give away.
