It could save you a few bucks if they would. Just ask what the repeat is, and they will tell you in inches.
So, if the repeat was, for example, 12", I'd multiply by 6 to determine my yardage needed?

Exactly. Then maybe add another 1/2 or so "just in case". Others that have done this can correct me if I'm wrong, because this is "on the list" for me to do, and I've yet to find the perfect fabric.
