The thing I hear over and over is the stitch quality on a straight stitch only machine surpasses one that does decorative stitching. That's why longarms are straight stitch only and Feather Weights are so cherished by quilters. So, the Juki and Grand Quilter(straight stitch machines) may have better stitch quality than putting a 6600 on a frame. Does that make sense? You could for sure do it and get a good result, but the stitch quality and small throat would make me really ponder if buying a $500-$1,200 frame would be worth it...
