Baby quilt I made Fri. eve & finished Sat. a.m. for a baby shower on Sunday. It was a last minute thought to add it to the gifts we bought. It was 75% made out of my stash, too. I had the backing for 2 years, bought it for $2.00 a yard, hoping I would use it some day. The strip pieces were leftovers from other quilts. I only bought the wide panel piece. It is teddy bears on blue and cream. Batting was a leftover piece from another quilt, folded and saved for a time like this.

It is for my great nephew, due to make his appearance the end of December. Kole Jayden Weaver, son of my nephew Kristopher and his fiance Jamie.

It was the only quilt she received and she has it draped over the rocking chair my sister bought. My sister, Rose, Gramma to be, has quilt hangers and they are going to hang it over the crib. Jamie doesn't want to use it, she thinks it's too beautiful.

I'm going to take the leftovers and make a blanket they will use, with fleece on the back. It will cost nothing, just my time, since it is all leftovers of this quilt and I have fleece from another quilt I did. I like the freebie stuff. And it uses my stash!

P.S. Remember my fiasco- the butt ugly quilt? Well, my BFF's daughter is getting married in March and asked for one just like this one for her gift! Out of my stash- all strips of leftovers! So my ugly is another's beautiful! I wanted to make somthing special as I am very close to her, but I feel great that this is what she wants because I like playing in the scraps!
