I discovered a way to get the things I want to make for myself for Christmas. Every 25th of the month I do something to get ready for the holidays. If I want a Christmas quilt I would probably get the fabric in January when it is on clearance. In February, I would wash the fabric and get it ready to cut. Cut in March, Put together in April, Sandwich in May, Quilt in June and July. In August I would bind and then put it away in the Christmas stuff. By the time Christmas comes, it would seem all new and fresh...I couldn't find my mystakes either 'cuz I forget where they are.

I've done this for years and found I can usually have between 3-7 projects all finished and ready by Thanksgiving.

Another trick I've found...If I want to make something for each person (22 people in the family) I do it the month they have their birthday. This gets me started in January and completely finished by December. Some months I make 1, some I make 3. It works for me. Saves money too.
