Beautiful quilts and a beautiful job of quilting. I have one of those poly quilts that was tied right near my bed now. Mama made it and backed it with flannel, no batting. I am cutting squares for another. They are so warm and last forever.
When we were growing up, we didn't have heat in our bedrooms, only a warm morning heater in the other room. We had so many quilts on us that we could hardly turn over. Oh, those good ole days! The feather beds were under us and we finally had a warm spot and slept so well.
Memories is all I have now as everyone is gone.
